Comment: Jim at his bike when we stopped for lunch at Lago di Misurina. We ate on the little pier seen in the picture.
bikes passo giau * There were hundreds of bikes at this pass.  So many that it was difficult to get a picture of all of them.

panoramic view from passo giau * A fantastic panoramic view from the Passo Giau.   It truly seemed like you could see forever.

going up passo di sella * We stopped here on the way up to Passo de Sella because we were awed by the massive rock formations before us.

hotel mary pozza di fazzo * Our home for 2 days as we rode the passes in the Dolomites.  Two star hotels like this were frequent, comfortable, and affordable.

goodbye jim verna * Here we parted company as Jim and Verna headed to Trento and Lars stayed for a few more passes.

jim at passo sella * Jim stopping at the Passo Sella sign.  This pass is at 2344 meters (7690 feet).

jim at passo campolongo * Jim stopped by the marker for Passo Camplongo.  The pass is at 1875 meters (6152 feet).

jim lunch at lake * Jim after lunch, showing off our great view of the lake.  Quite a lovely setting for the midday meal and break.
