Comment: Passo Pordoi, high in the Dolomites, is at 2239 meters (7345 feet).
passo di sella 3 * The view looking off into the distant mountains from the Passo de Sella.

passo fedaia * Verna & Jim on their bikes at the Passo Fedaia where there is this beautiful reservoir.

road down n side stelvio * Partway down the north side, Lars stopped for a picture of the mountainside where you can see the road snaking along the side of the mountian. On this side there were 48 tornanti (switchbacks).

passo valles * Although the view is not much from here, the pass is one of the many over 2000 meters. This one is at 2032 meters (6667 feet).

passo san pelligrino * Another pass where the view is not great, but it was nice of Lars to take pictures of Jim & Verna at all these passes!

passo pordoi
passo palade * Gampenpass (German) or Passo Palade (Italian), a lower pass in the Dolomites is grassy and forested at 1518 meters (4980 feet).

passo giau * Typical of many passes, the view at the pass summit is not much, but just before or after are often spectaular views (see the 2 different panoramas from Giau). This pass is at 2236 meters (7336 feet).

town in valley after fedaia * This town nestled in the valley below is a common sight from many of these mountainous roads. It is perhaps part of Selva de Cadore.

view after fedaia * Just another gorgeous view as we wend our way from Passo Fedaia to Passo di Giau.

verna taking picture down road * A usual sight with us, Verna walking down the road to get a better picture of the view. Here at Pass dal Fuorn, we are at 2149 meters (7050 feet).
