By this year you would think that we had figured out how to travel. Well, not really. Our original plan for this year was a trip to Morocco in the early spring which we did not do because we were unable to get on the road early enough to go to Morocco for the length of time we wanted and still do the other things we wanted to do this summer. So, Morocco has been pushed out until next spring.

The main focus for this summer will be to go as far north as we can in Europe - above the Arctic Circle - to the Nord Cap. We replaced the trip to Morocco with a trip to Corsica and Sardinia and then north through Italy to Germany.

The ride through the Dolomites in northern Italy produced some interesting moments as we rode through a small bit of a snow storm on the day we went through an area north and east of Trento.

While Jim was “sick as a dog” as we went through Switzerland the ride was well worth it. From there we went to Liechtenstein and then into Austria and Germany.

We returned from a brief trip to the US to visit family and friends in May and June and then made our way north through Denmark and into Norway, Sweden and Finland.
